Join Us

Scouting offers adults a host of rewarding opportunities to help make a difference in young people’s lives. You’re never too old to join the adventurous life of Scouting, even if you haven’t been involved before. Adults, parents, former members, and locals are most welcome to inquire into volunteering at 1st/2nd Greensborough Scout Group. There's lots of possibilities:

  • Section program leader (leader of youth)
  • Group Committee Member
  • Parent Helper
  • Subject Matter Expert (e.g. canoeing experience with which you can support Scouts to develop their own Canoeing expertise)

Maybe you have a particular skill or access to a resource that could come in handy?

Contact our Group Leader to take the first step: groupleader@greensboroughscouts.org

All adult volunteers require a Working With Children Check and all uniformed roles require consent to a National Police Records Check and to provide three reference checks.

The Wood Badge Training Program ensures volunteer adult leaders become competent leaders of youth and leaders of adults.

Qualifications

Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, and Adult leaders can optionally gain industry-recognised qualifications: Certificates and Diplomas!

The Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT) is a registered training organisation (RTO No. 5443) and can align your personal growth through the youth program or the Wood Badge Training program with a range of qualifications.
