About Us

Welcome | Wominjeka

The Scout Movement made its way to Australia in 1908. 1st Greensborough Scout Group was formed in 1928 but came together with 2nd Greensborough Scout Group in 1980 to offer an exciting Scouting experience for youth in the surrounding areas. In 2024 we celebrated 100 years of Scouting in Greensborough.

Today, 1st/2nd Greensborough Scout Group offers an adventurous, fun, challenging, and inclusive youth program for all children, adolescents, and young adults aged 5 to 25.

All adult members benefit from a comprehensive Adult Training Scheme complete with industry recognised qualifications.

Join Scouts Today

Our Scout Group operates out of a purpose-built hall near Willinda Park in Greensborough, Victoria, Australia. We operate all five age sections on a weekly basis. You'll often find us on camps and other outdoor adventures beyond the Scout hall. We have a terrific parent community, with shared responsibility for supporting the group with tasks such as fundraising, maintenance, and committee involvement. Our adult leaders are well trained and enthusiastic about their role in supporting the personal growth of children, adolescents, and young people in their care.

Welcome to 1st/2nd Greensborough Scout Group!

Furthermore, you become a member of Scouts Australia, which coordinates the youth program, adult training, and other national matters. National Jamborees, Ventures, and Moots are exciting large-scale multi-day camps that everyone can enjoy, enabling travel and adventure in different parts of Australia.

And finally, you will join 60+ million other Scouts and volunteers as part of the World Scout Movement, where Scouts can see the world safe in the knowledge that they will be looked after by anyone else wearing a uniform bearing the World Scout Emblem. Look for opportunities to attend a World Scout Jamboree or World Scout Moot, both held on a regular basis in different member countries on a regular cycle.
